When you click the Recommended tab in your dashboard, we filter all the shipments listed on the site to show you the most relevant ones.
The criteria we use for this filtering are your categories (pets, vehicles, etc.) and your preferred routes. That's why setting up your routes is one of the first things you should do after registering as a driver on CitizenShipper.
From your dashboard, click the Routes button at the top of the page:
On the routes screen, you can select regions by state, city, or zip code. To choose the routes you wish to traffic, click the Edit State/Province List button:
You'll see a list of all US states with empty tick boxes next to them.
Tick a few boxes to add the states you're interested in. When you're done, don't forget to click the Update State/Province button:
You can also narrow it down by adding individual cities to your list of preferred routes:
And going one step further, you can input a very specific route.
Clicking the Add New Route button brings up the following screen:
This is useful if you make regular trips between cities, or if you are planning a trip. Fill out the From and To fields, and we'll notify you of shipments along that route!
Adding routes is a pretty straightforward process, but it can be a powerful tool. Feel free to experiment and customize your routes to suit your lifestyle. You could even get creative and look for shipments in areas you plan on visiting. Wanna see the Grand Canyon? Tick the Colorado box, and start bidding!
