Notification Settings

Your notification settings are an important feature of CitizenShipper, as they determine what kind of email and SMS notifications you receive. 

To update your notification settings click on the gear icon at the top of the screen and select Notification settings. 


First, you'll see that you can turn on or off your SMS notifications. 

If you have these switched on (tick the boxes) we'll send you a text message each time any one of the following happens:

  • A shipment is listed on CitizenShipper that matches your routes and category preferences
  • You receive a message from a customer
  • You win a shipment


You can also switch on and off email notification settings alerting you to new shipments in your area:

Some drivers switch this off if they ship in a large number of states so they aren't receiving hundreds of emails from us every day. 

This next section is important:

This not only effects what shipment categories you receive notifications about, but it ALSO effects your main dashboard. 

Recall that your dashboard has the 'Recommended' option:

We'll only show you recommended shipments that match the types of categories you've selected in your Shipment Categories Notification Settings. So this not only effects your email and SMS notifications but also the shipments that we show you on your dashboard.
